| Today you are
dining in one of the oldest, most established clubs in the
state of Wyoming. Cassie's is a historical landmark in the Cody
area and has
a long and distinguished reputation for serving fine food. Originally
opened
in the 1920's, Cassie's was first operated as a "House of ill
fame" by its founder,
Cassie Waters. During the prohibition era Cassie served bootleg
whiskey
that was brewed and bottled in a cellar on these premises. Over
the years
Cassie's has been remodeled and expanded many times but the original
log building still remains in place. Many of the animal heads you
see
displayed throughout the club have
been donated by local hunters and
were taken from the mountains surrounding Cody. The brands you see
are
from local ranches. Cassie's is a quality steak house serving only
the choicest
